How to manage your events & quote requests

All of your events and quote requests can be managed through your event planner account. Whether you need to make changes, block communication with vendors, or remove an event entirely, this will all be done through your control panel.

Edit your event

If the details of your event change or you find that you've made a mistake when creating your initial request, you should update the details right away. You can only make changes before you book a vendor. Once you've accepted a quote and made a payment, the event cannot be edited.

To edit an event, log in to your event planner account and do the following:

1
On your Dashboard, under Recent Events, click on the event you need to edit.
2
Under Event Info, scroll down and click Edit Event.
3
Edit the necessary information and click Update Event.

Any vendors who received your request will be sent a notification alerting them of the changes that have been made. Any quotes you've received for that event will be canceled, and the vendor will need to send you a new one. If you don't receive an updated quote, you should send a message to the vendor to discuss your changes and ask for a new quote.

Need to request a different service?

The service requested for your event (the category that you chose in your initial quote request) cannot be edited. This is because the request has already gone through the process of being sent to the appropriate vendors. If you want to request a new service, you should complete a new quote request so your details can be sent to vendors that provide that service.

Booked events

No changes can be made to an agreement after it's been booked. However, if details have changed, you should send a message to the vendor in the thread attached to that booking to see if they can accommodate the changes. Be sure they respond to your message on the platform so the changes are confirmed in writing by both parties. If you'd like to have those changes reflected in the agreement, once both parties have confirmed the change in writing, you can contact us, and we'll make the updates.

Remove your event

If you cancel your event or no longer need to book someone, you may delete that event from your account. Doing so will remove any requests that have been sent for that event and decline any quotes received. If you do this, you will no longer be able to access any of the details of the event nor communicate with any of the vendors that have been contacted.

Removing an event cannot be undone, so it should only be done if absolutely necessary. If you want to keep the event but do not want to receive any more messages or quotes, you can block communication instead.

To remove an event, log in to your event planner account and do the following:

1
On your Dashboard, under Recent Events, click on the event you need to remove.
2
Under Event Info, scroll down and click Edit Event.
3
Scroll to the Remove Event section at the bottom, read the message, and click Remove Event.

If you've already booked someone, that event cannot be removed. You should follow the cancellation procedure if your event is canceled after a booking has already been confirmed.

Block communication

If you don't want to remove an event entirely but want to stop getting messages and quotes, you can block communication.

To block communication for a whole event, log in to your event planner account and do the following:

1
On your Dashboard, under Recent Events, click on the appropriate event.
2
Under Event Info, scroll to the bottom and click the "Block communication?" link.
3
Read the message and click Block Communication.

You can also block communication on an individual request if there is a particular vendor you no long want to receive messages or quotes from.

To block communication for a specific vendor, log in to your event planner account and do the following:

1
On your Dashboard, under Recent Events, click on the appropriate event.
2
Choose the vendor from the list that you want to block communication from.
3
Under Event Info, scroll to the bottom and click the "Block communication?" link.
4
Read the message and click Block Communication.

If you change your mind at any point, you can unblock communication by following the same steps.
