How to request reviews
Reviews are one of the most important things to have on your GigSalad profile. All types of consumers look at feedback before purchasing a product or service, and the same goes for those using GigSalad. Having glowing reviews from your previous clients can help you stand out from the competition.
Book through GigSalad
When you use our booking platform, we'll do all the work for you! After your gig, we will email your client to ask for a review. In these follow-up emails, we'll provide them with a direct link to your review page, allowing them to share their feedback.
The client will click the link, leave the review, and then we'll send a follow-up verification link. Once they've clicked the final verification, the review will post to your profile. These are considered verified reviews, which are given priority in your reviews list and carry more weight in your overall star rating.
Bonus! When a client leaves a positive review for an event they booked through GigSalad, they'll have the option to send you a tip via PayPal, provided you've connected your PayPal account.
Request reviews
We understand not all of your gigs are coming through us. Clients who book you outside of GigSalad can also leave a review on your profile. You can email them requesting a review right through your GigSalad account. This way, the client will get an email from us for easier access to your profile's review page.
To do this:
- 1
- Log in to your control panel and go to the Reviews page.
- 2
- Under Request Reviews, there will be a section called Request a Review via Email.
- 3
- Fill out the client's name and email address, and then customize the message if you'd like.
- 4
- Click Send Email.
While we encourage all bookings to be confirmed through our booking platform, we understand some circumstances make this impossible. If you book the gig off-site, you can still request a review from the client afterward. We've made this very easy to do by adding a link at the bottom of the Event Info section in your inbox lead.
You should also mark the gig as booked so that if the client leaves a review, it will be verified. This is required for free members who book off the site.
Share a link
The last way to collect more reviews is to simply share a link directly to the review form on your GigSalad profile. You'll also find this link on the Request Reviews page. Just scroll down to the Request a Review via Link section, and click Copy Link.
You can paste the link directly into an email to clients, post it on your social media, or even include it on your personal website.
