How to request reviews
Reviews are one of the most important things you can have on your PromoKit. Almost all consumers look at feedback before purchasing a product or service, and the same goes for those using GigSalad. Having some glowing reviews from your previous clients can really help set you apart from your competition.
Book through GigSalad
When you use our booking platform, we'll do all the work for you! You play the gig, and in the days that follow, we will send emails to your client to request a review. In these follow-up emails, we'll give them a link directly to your review page so they can share their feedback. Not only is this easier for you, but it's also easier for the client. Since the booking took place on our site, we're able to cut out the extra steps normally needed for identity verification. The client simply follows the link in the email, leaves the review, and it's posted to your PromoKit immediately. These are considered verified reviews, which are given priority in your reviews list and carry more weight in your overall star rating.
Bonus! When a client leaves a positive review for an event they booked through GigSalad, they'll have an additional option to send you a tip via PayPal as long as you've connected your PayPal account.
Request reviews
We understand that not all of your gigs are coming through us. Clients that book you outside of GigSalad can still leave a review on your PromoKit. You can send them an email requesting a review right through your GigSalad account. This way the client will get an email from us for easier access to your PromoKit's review page.
To do this:
- 1
- Log in to your control panel and go to the Reviews page.
- 2
- Under Request Reviews, there will be a section called Request a Review via Email .
- 3
- Fill out the client's name and email address and then customize the message if you'd like.
- 4
- Click Send Email.
While we encourage that all bookings take place through our booking platform, we understand that some circumstances make this not possible. If you do book the gig offsite, you can still request a review from the client after the gig. We've made this very easy to do by adding a link right at the bottom of the Event Info on the lead in your Inbox.
You should also mark the gig as booked so if the client leaves a review, it will be Verified. This is required for free members that book off the site.
Share a link
The last way to collect more reviews is to simply share a link directly to the review form on your PromoKit. You'll find this link on the Request Reviews page as well. Just scroll down to the Request a Review via Link section, and click Copy Link.
You can paste the link into an email directly to clients, post it on your social media, or even put it on your personal website.
