Where is my gig payment?
When a client books you on GigSalad, they pay the full amount — both the deposit and the balance — at the time of booking. GigSalad then sends your deposit before the event, and your balance 1–2 business days after the event.
Check your payout status on a booking
The quickest way to check the status of a specific payment is to do so directly in the booking conversation.
- Log in to your account and go to your Inbox.
- Select Booked Gigs from the menu.
- Open the booking you’re awaiting payment for.
- Look for the Payout status panel to the right (desktop) or above the message thread (mobile).
There you’ll see the status of both your deposit and balance for that booking, including the amount, any service fees, and when it was sent or when you can expect it.

Check your payout history
You can also view a summary of all your payouts, including pending ones, from the Payouts page.
- Go to your Inbox.
- Select Payouts from the left menu. On mobile, use the drop-down menu.
- Use the timeframe drop-down to select the month and year the booking took place.
You’ll see a list of all deposits and balances for that period, along with their current status (sent or pending). You can also filter by just year to see the full payout history for a tax year.
Need to update your payout info?
If a payment was sent but you didn’t receive it, your payout information may be out of date. You can update it at any time:
- Log in to your control panel and go to Account.
- Select Payout info.
- Update your payout method and details, then click Update payout info.
Make sure your banking details or PayPal account are current and correct to avoid any issues with future payments.
A note on security: For your protection, all direct deposit information is encrypted and cannot be viewed or modified by our support team. This means we’re unable to verify, confirm, or update your banking details on your behalf — so please do not share this information with us via email or phone. If something isn’t working, you’ll need to log in and re-enter your details directly.
Is your payment delayed?
There are a few common reasons a payment might be delayed beyond the normal timeframe:
- It’s your first booking — Deposit payments are held and disbursed together with the balance after your first successful event is completed.
- Fraud prevention screening — In rare cases, a transaction may be flagged for additional review before funds are released.
- A dispute or chargeback was filed — If a planner disputed the transaction, the payment may be held or reversed.
- Incomplete communication — If there are unresolved questions or potential changes in the booking conversation, we may hold the payment until everything is confirmed.
