How to earn Top Performer status

Each month, we award our outstanding members a Top Performer status to be displayed on your PromoKit. Top Performers are the most active, responsive members on GigSalad and consistently display the highest degree of professionalism. Top Performers will see a number of benefits, including an increase in leads and improvement in their search rankings.

Assessment process

Assessments will take place at the beginning of every month. At that time, we'll evaluate all members to find who meets the criteria below and assign the Top Performer status accordingly. In turn, if you were previously a Top Performer and no longer meet one or more of the qualifications at the time of assessment, the Top Performer status will be removed from your PromoKit.

What you need to do


Maintain an average review rating of 4.5 stars or greater*

Having positive feedback from previous clients is extremely important in setting you apart as an exceptional performer. As long as you have at least 4.5 stars at the time of assessment, you will meet this qualification.

Tip: Booking through GigSalad will help boost your rating because verified reviews carry a higher weight.


Respond to at least 80% of your gig leads within 24 hours*

You must be an excellent communicator in order to be a Top Performer. Whether you send a quote, message, or decline the event, you should always respond to every lead you receive. At the time of assessment, we will look at the leads you've received in the last 3 months to determine if you've responded to at least 80% within 24 hours after receiving them.


Book at least 1 gig through GigSalad in the last 3 months*

In order for us to display you as a Top Performer, we have to be able to verify that you are in fact performing through verified bookings on GigSalad. At the time of assessment, you must have booked at least 1 gig through our platform in the last 3 months in order to meet this qualification.

Track your progress

Your Top Performer status will be displayed on the Dashboard of your control panel. You can track your progress at any time to see where you stand, and what you need to do before the next assessment date.

In addition, your current status will be included in the booking report email that is sent at the beginning of every month. 

Frequently asked questions

  • Will Top Performers show up at the top of search results?
    PromoKits with a Top Performer status will be given priority in search results within their current membership level only. This means that if you are a Top Performer but have a free membership, you will not appear above paid members. However, you will appear before free members that are not Top Performers, within a certain radius of the searched location. If you are a Featured member, you will still receive the highest priority in search results, but Featured members with a Top Performer status will appear first.
  • Can I pay to be a Top Performer?
    You can only become a Top Performer if you meet the qualifications outlined above. We want to offer this distinction to event planners so they can book with more confidence. To do that, we must be able to back up the claim with solid data that's verifiable through our platform. Therefore, this status cannot be purchased.
  • Please note: Posting fake reviews to boost your average review rating or falsifying an event to self-book your PromoKit in order to achieve Top Performer status is unethical and a violation of our Terms of Use. If we find that you are doing this, your account may be removed permanently.
