Not receiving text alerts?
Text alerts are a great way to ensure you never miss a lead. However, sometimes, your carrier may block them when they arrive. If you've noticed text alerts aren't showing up as expected, there are a couple of things you can do.
Check your settings
Some devices have released updates that automatically block unknown calls or texts, identify them as spam, and send them to a different section of your phone. Below are instructions for accessing these messages for iPhones and Androids.
iPhone
While iPhone spam blocking must be enabled, it may be a good idea to double-check your settings and make sure you haven't accidentally blocked GigSalad.
1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap Messages.
3. Scroll down to the "Filter Unknown Senders" setting. If it's toggled on, you may have filtered messages to a different list in your Messages app.
4. Exit Settings and open the Messages app.
5. If you see two tabs at the top, click on "Unknown Senders" to view the filtered texts.
Android
1. Open the Messages app.
2. Tap the Menu (3 dots in the upper right corner).
3. Tap Settings.
4. Tap Blocked Numbers and Messages.
5. Tap each of the Blocked Numbers and Blocked Messages to see if the texts are in there.
Save GigSalad to your contacts
If you do notice your GigSalad texts being filtered or blocked, we recommend saving "GigSalad Leads" as a contact in your phone so they're safely delivered in the future. Our text messages are delivered from 1-866-885-4447.

Need more help?
If you still aren't receiving text alerts, please contact your phone carrier (AT&T, Verizon, etc.) to let them know about the issue. They can also help walk you through the troubleshooting steps above if needed.
Use push notifications for email alerts
While text alerts are optional, all of your lead notifications and other communications will always be sent by email. If you're having issues with texts, you may want to set up additional email notifications on your phone. When you turn on push notifications, your phone will alert you immediately when you have a new email based on the settings you've chosen.
Every email service provider has different steps for adjusting your notifications. Since Gmail is one of the most popular, we've included some steps below for Android and iPhone. If you use a different email provider, you can check their Help Center to find specific instructions.
Gmail on Android
1. Open the Gmail app.
2. In the top left, tap Menu.
3. Tap Settings.
4. Select your account.
5. Tap Notifications and select a notification level.
6. Tap Inbox notifications.
Note: If you’re using Android O and above, tap Manage Notifications. Under your account, make sure the switch is set to On.
7. Choose your notification settings, including sounds.
