Paying with an electronic check
NOTE: This feature is currently in the testing phase and will only be available to some of our users.
There are two ways to pay when booking a vendor on GigSalad. You can use a credit card (recommended) or you may use an electronic check (eCheck).
When you're ready to book, you'll see two payment options to choose from on the checkout page.
*As noted above, these options may not be visible to all users. If you do not see Payment Method options, then you must pay with a credit card. If you don't have a credit card, please contact us to discuss your options.
To pay with an eCheck, you'll need to provide your bank routing number as well as your checking account number. You can find this information at the bottom of a personal check, or through your account on your bank's website.
Booking amount: We can only process eCheck payments for up to approximately $4,000. If your booking total is over this amount, you must pay with a credit card or contact us to discuss your options.
Processing time: It takes 3-5 business days for an eCheck to clear. If it does not clear, your booking will be canceled. At that time, you'll be sent a new quote, identical to the one you originally booked, so that you can book again with a different payment.
Last-minute events: If your event is less than 7 days away, you will not be able to pay with an eCheck due to the processing time mentioned above. Your payment must clear before your event takes place.
Canadian users: Unfortunately, users in Canada will not be able to pay with an eCheck. These transactions are processed through a United States-based network (ACH) that is unavailable in Canada.
