How to book outside gigs through GigSalad

If a client contacts you directly through another service, your website, or by phone, you can still book that gig on GigSalad if you'd like. Use our Book Outside Gig tool to send the client a quote, and they can create an account and use our booking platform to make a payment and secure your services.

To send a quote for an outside lead:

Log in to your control panel and go to Tools.

Select Book Outside Gig from the menu.

Complete the quote form. This form requires you to fill in the client information & event details, along with the basic quote information that's always requested.

Click Send.

The client will then receive an email from GigSalad saying you've sent them a quote. The email will include a link to create a GigSalad account, which they will do by providing a password that will be associated with their email address. 

Once they get logged in, they'll be able to view your quote. From there, the process is the same as it is for any client that uses GigSalad. They can accept or decline the quote, or they can send you a message. If they accept the quote, they will pay your full price, including the deposit and balance payment, to complete the booking. When you send quotes for outside gigs, they will be included in the Gig Leads section of your inbox.

NOTE: When you send a quote through the outside gig form, the client's request will not be shared with any other members. This is a private communication between you and your client only.

To cancel an active quote for an outside lead:

Log in to your control panel and go to your Inbox.

Select Gig Leads from the menu.

Click on the lead with the quote you wish to cancel. You'll see (Outside Gig) next to the event type.

Click Decline this gig to cancel the active quote.
